OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Johnny Floyd is a compassionate Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, and a lifelong leader from Atlanta, Georgia. Floyd's powerful roots began in the Pittsburgh neighborhood where he attended Giddens Elementary and Parks Middle School, he graduated from LJ Price High School and matriculated to Clark Atlanta University. Floyd was employed with the City of Atlanta Fire Department in 1981 and is currently retired.

As a strong believer in the empowerment of the community, Floyd picked up the leadership mantel and served as chair of the Pittsburgh Civic League Inc., the governing body for Pittsburgh and the PCL Apartments for 12 years, where he and his board negotiated the sale and rebuild of the PCL Apartments currently known as Heritage Station Homes (1989-2012). Floyd has served as Chair of the Pittman Park Advisory Council (1992-1995), as a member of NPU-V until 1996 and on the leadership team of the Salvation Army, assisting with community outreach.

Floyd served as chair of the PNA, Pittsburgh Neighborhood Association for 4 years, an executive board member of The Friends of Pittman Park, an executive Board member of the Pittsburgh Collaborative for HBCUs, and a member of the Stadium Trust Committee.

Floyd's passion to serve drove him to serve in other capacities, one being young people, he helped to create, co-find and coach the Atlanta Lady Hawks basketball team and lead them to two (2) AAU championships (1995-2001). His love and passion for his high school class has allowed him to be President for over 40+ years. Floyd with his wife and kids created a non-profit outreach organization that has given out over 1,000 meals in the community.

Floyd is a dedicated husband, married to Sharon for 47 years and a great father to 3 daughters, Lakeisha, Chloe' and Tenille, a loving and active grandfather to 5 grandchildren. Floyd is a true leader of his community whose efforts and initiatives will change education, business, and lives throughout Georgia.
